I love Farmers’ Markets. I do. You may know this about me already. Given I’ve told you about the great Farmers’ Markets of Canberra and Devonport before. Well, today I’m going to tell you about the Cradle to Coast Farmers’ Market at Ulverstone in Tasmania.
When I visited, in February, I walked away with the most fragrant and ginormous bunches of basil, ripe tomatoes, fresh bread and beautiful artisan feta.
Not to mention the seriously delicious sweets I picked up from the lovely hipster lady with the combie, or the free range, heritage meats I bought from the Mount Gnomon Farm stall.
Ulverstone puts the Cradle to Coast Farmers’ Market on in a really lovely spot. I walked along the river and soaked up the bright sunshiny day before taking my market treasures home for lunch.
Homemade lunches on Farmers’ Market days are simply the best lunches in the world, in my opinion.
Farmers’ Markets are one of my favourite things to do in a new place. Do you ever go to the Farmers’ Markets when you travel? or at home?
